His rise to fame catapulted with his victory in the third season of the stand-up comedy reality show, "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge," in 2007.

Since then, Kapil has graced screens with his presence, hosting and producing popular comedy shows like "Comedy Nights with Kapil" and "Family Time with Kapil" on Colors TV and Sony TV channels, respectively.
